MEDICATION REQUIREMENTS
End of Year Please come and pick up your student's medications that are here in the clinic!!
Please make sure that your student has exactly enough medication to finish the school year.
We are unable to store any medications at the school during the summer and will dispose of ALL medication left after the last day of school. McKinney ISD has a policy against sending any medication home with a student; therefore, you must come in personally and pick up any medications remaining in the clinic. We will NOT send home medication with your child for any reason.
Please remember that you will need to fill out new medication forms for the next school year. You make pick up a new medication form, along with your medication, at the end of the year. You and your physician can evaluate your child just before school begins and complete the forms before school starts in August.
MISD is a Zero Tolerance School district. Students may not carry ANY medications with them. Parents must bring medication to the clinic and fill out appropriate paperwork/physician signature if your student needs medication available during the school day.
Please do not send in medications with your student. If your student is caught with medications they will face disciplinary actions!
For the MISD Medication No tolerance Policy, MISD Medication Guidelines, and MISD medication administration forms go to MISD Health Services website

Parents it is your responsibility to keep track of when your student's medication will need to be refilled during the school year. If your doctor requires an appointment on a monthly basis to refill ADHD medication please schedule these before your student runs out of medication. It is not fair to your student to have to miss his/her medication at school because he/she has run out of medication.
